Parent and Caregiver Services

Caring for the Caregiver

Are you parenting or caring for a teenager or young adult who is beginning to show signs of significant mental health challenges? Perhaps there has already been a diagnosis or maybe you're noticing concerning changes in mood, impulsivity, behavior, or how your loved one is thinking about the world and their connection to reality.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, scared, and unsure of how to best support your child while trying to navigate the complexities of the mental health system. Even though we've made progress as a society, stigma and misinformation around mental illness still exist. The experience can feel incredibly isolating and can put strain on relationships, partnerships, and even your own mental health.

You're not alone and you don’t have to do this without support.

I bring over a decade of experience leading a multidisciplinary team supporting teens and young adults with serious mental health concerns and their families here in the Denver area. In my private practice, I work with parents, caregivers, and family members of youth experiencing emerging mental illness.

Caring for yourself in the midst of a crisis isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Having a space to process your emotions, ask questions, gain clarity, and learn practical tools can make a meaningful difference for you and your family. In fact, research shows a strong connection between parental well-being and adolescent mental health. Prioritizing your own care is a powerful and impactful first step toward change.

In my practice, I offer:

  • Individual therapy and family support

  • Psychoeducation on emerging mental health conditions

  • Skill-building and coaching, including stress management techniques

  • Relationship tools to support connection and communication

  • Guidance and resources to help you navigate Denver’s mental health system

You don’t have to carry this alone. Reach out today to schedule a consultation or learn more about how I can support you and your family during this time.
